I’ve never really been good at budgeting and planning, but since I resigned from my job and cashed out my 401k thing, I’ve definitely been obsessed with budgeting and planning the way I spend my money.
I was (and sometimes still do) get heartburn every time I spend my money. It’s driving me insane. Even though, as of right now (even with being unemployed), I am the most financially secure I have ever been in my life. I don’t really have any financial worries right now, but I know that if I don’t budget and plan that money, I will be right back where I was shortly before quitting my job. In credit card debt to my ears, living paycheck to paycheck.
I’m done living my life that way. I’m ready for some much needed and wanted stability in my life.
Until next time…

I’ve never understood the stock market. I’ve never really wrapped my brain around the whole concept of investing. It’s just not something I’ve ever done well at understanding.
I have found there is a Wealth Expo coming up in New York City that would help me with this knowledge and understanding of how it all works. The Expo is the premier seminar that investors need to attend to learn how to grow their wealth. The conference features keynote speakers, who are investment professionals. There will be exhibitions by some of the largest private and public companies in the world.
The Wealth Expo is sponsored by MyWallSt.net: Your Financial Social Network.
As I was looking through their agenda/schedule for the events that will be held in a few days, I found one on Sunday 10/21 that interested me (OK fine, there are two sessions that caught my eye):
Main Stage Schedule- Located in the Exhibit Hall
11:30 LUX Petroleum, Inc., “Dynamic Energy Investment”
12:30 Matt Gillogly, “How to Become a Millionaire in a Troubled Real Estate Market”
I have no clue what the first one truly means, however, I do think it would be interesting to see how energy companies get involved in the stock market and how investors do with those shares of stock.
The second one about becoming a millionaire in the troubled real estate market caught my attention due to the situation my mom and I found ourselves in at this time last year. We’ve been dealing with this real estate nightmare since then. There is a light at the end of the tunnel and personally, this session would help me learn how more about the market’s ups and downs.
The Wealth Expo will be held for three days in New York City on the following dates:
Friday, 10/19: 1 p.m.-6:30 p.m. EDT w/ a cocktail hour to follow
Saturday, 10/20: 9 a.m.-6:30 p.m. EDT w/ a cocktail hour to follow
Sunday, 10/21: 9 a.m.-4 p.m. EDT (no cocktail hour)
If you’re in the New York City area and find this interesting, looking into attending the seminar. There may be a session or two that you could attend and possibly change your life.

When I was practicing my disease, there was a Payday cash advance place in Henderson that I was a patron of. I used their services for YEARS. They were so good to me, even though they killed me on the interest fees each month.
For non-compulsive gamblers who are in a crunch for money, needing car repairs or what not, I think a cash advance would come in handy.
I would get several Payday loans a month while I was gambling. I used those monies to pay my bills, while I used my paycheck to gamble with.
CashAdvance1500 gives you several websites to choose from for solid, notable companies who offer cash advances when you need them. When used responsibly, payday loans can solve these short-term cash needs effectively.
When I first started using payday loan places, I didn’t know what the word responsibly meant. After I joined GA, it took me 9 months to pay them off, but I did it. Several years later, I needed to get my car repaired and so guess what I did? Since I had not listed the payday loan place on my bankruptcy, I went back to them and they helped me out again.
This time, I used the money responsibly AND I had it paid off on my next payday; which was totally unlike how I had done things before. I would “roll” it over each month, pay the high interest rate and keep it outstanding. It was an ugly cycle and I would suggest if you use CashAdvance1500, you do so responsibly and not for something like I used to use them for.

Have you ever wondered why some people blog for money on a regular basis? Maybe it’s just what they like to do, maybe it’s something they HAVE to do. Or maybe it’s a combination of both.
I recently signed up on Smorty dot com, which is a service that connects me (the blogger) with different advertisers. These advertisers will pay me money to write opinion posts, as long as I link back to that advertisers website.
Smorty seems to be running pretty smoothly for me so far. They email me every time there is a new assignment that I am eligible for. The longer I do posts for Smorty, the higher my score will go and then I will be eligible for higher paid posts.
I enjoy blogging for money, because not only does it supplement my income, but it also provides me a way to find new and exciting products I may not have heard about before. I’ve already done a few posts for products I had never even heard of and in doing the blog post for money, I found something that may actually work for me.
I know a lot of people in the blogging community do not agree that doing these posts on my personal blog is a good idea. Actually, they are adamantly against it. For me, I need to think about what is right for me to do. I blog for no one but myself, and I lucked out by making some fantastic friendships along with getting a few regular readers here.
Smorty helps me supplement my income (OK, my NON-existent income) and will continue to do so. I like Smorty because I can pick and choose the assignments. I don’t HAVE to do each and every one of the advertisements that I’m eligible to do. I will continue utilizing Smorty for blog advertising and blogging for money.

When I filed bankruptcy in 2001, I had 11 credit cards. Eleven credit cards and they were all topped out to their limits, if not over their limits. I was a horrible manager of my money. It didn’t help that I used most of those credit cards for gambling.
Some companies offer cash back credit cards and you actually get money back from your purchases. I experience this with one of my Household Bank cards. I just got a $10.00 check in the mail for my yearly purchases. YAY!
Over the last 6 years, I’ve gotten more credit cards. More cards with bigger limits means more online shopping available to me. As much as I’ve tried to temper my spending, it didn’t really work. I just recently became debt free and paid off all of my credit cards. What a wonderful feeling that is!
I’ve learned that you sometimes have to compare credit cards
in order to find a good one with an interest rate that will not hurt you in the long run.
There are so many credit companies out there nowadays, I think it’s entirely too easy to get a credit card. Although most people, I’m sure, are responsible with their spending habits, there are people like me (or worse) who do NOT manage their money well, until later in life.
For me, I’m learning and I’m obsessing over being able to remain financially stable like I am right now. I’m jobless, how can this be? When I quit my job so that I could move to Kentucky, my final paycheck and my deferred comp (401K) helped me accomplish the stability I’m experiencing right now.
I’m praying everyday and journaling about my spending habits. I’ve spent a lot of money over the last several weeks. Either for the girls at the vet, my dental work, things for the trip or the trip down there last week and it gives me heartburn spending this money. I’m so focused on remaining stable financially, I can hardly see straight.
