Oh how I love Wednesdays.  That means it’s hump day.  Which means tomorrow is Thursday.  Which means I am one day closer to Friday.  I have a 3 day weekend this week.  I get Memorial Day off as one of our 8 holidays we get yearly.   This gives me 3 days to kick the shit out of this cold or allergy shit I got going on before Tuesday.  Would you like to know how I’m going to kick it?  I’m going sleep as much as I can.  I’m not going to leave the apartment, unless I absolutely have too.   I might take the girls for a few walks, depending on the weather.

It took me 20 minutes to get home today.  20 minutes!!!!  How cool is that?  It rocks my socks.  I love it.  The four of us (Manager Lady, The Admiral, Pinky and I) were talking about part time jobs and other jobs, etc.  I mentioned that the owner of my last employment panicked when he found out I put my two weeks notice in.  He gave me an offer and I chose this FD job.  Manager Lady then told me that she is glad I took this one too, cause I was their #1 choice and made #1 on the list.  WHEEEEEE  That was a nice ego boost for me.

I don’t remember the last time I made #1 on a list for a job.  Throughout my tenure at Metro, I always placed #3 or #4 whenever I would go for transfers or promotions.  Making #1 made my day.  I walked on clouds for a little bit after that and it also made me forget about how crappy I feel for about 20 minutes.  It was awesome.

Tonight, I’m going to start working on the spreadsheet for GB so we can determine how he’s going to pay me and what not.   It should be pretty simple, but having to read his old invoices (some are 20 years old), will be a little difficult I think.  We’ll see!
