Job hunting, software and boredom
I’ve been online almost all morning, sending out my resume and job hunting. I’m not really digging this part of things, but it’s a necessary evil I have to put up with in order to reach my goals.
I sent my resume to something this morning and at first thought it was where my friend Lockheed worked. But I found out, from him, that it’s not. Hopefully in the same building complex area though.
I’m hoping, wherever I find my new job, we use friendly software for budget tracking.
Recently at work, we started using this new software to track our budget and financial status of our sections. It’s a pain in the butt, is not user friendly and nothing like the financial reporting software I found online. This one looks more user friendly and easier to use. Go figure our Finance section would select the least user friendly software out there.
Getting the information we need into some kind of report is almost impossible. This software does it for you. How cool would that be?
Have you noticed my last few posts have been about boredom? I think it’s cause I’ve been bored. And too lazy to go do something that would make it so I’m NOT bored.
I have quite a few hours until I have to be anywhere and I’m at a loss as to what to do. I was thinking of taking a nap around noon or 1pm. I just might. That may stave off some of this boredom.
I’m feeling very happy and jealous at the same time for my friends Laci and Monique. They are meeting up for a “scandalous” weekend. They are going to imbibe in some alcoholic beverages and basically just let loose and have fun this weekend. Wish I was there! I am, however, expecting some drunk texting to happen sometime tonight or tomorrow night. LOL
